DescriptionThe Lethbridge Research and Development Centre (LeRDC), Building 102 was constructed in 1977. The intent of this project is to upgrade the existing 1977 electrical infrastructure and distribution to address existing deficiencies. A 2021 Feasibility Study states that within the MCCs, wiring from emergency sources and normal power are mixed in the raceways, cables, boxes, and cabinets, and that the MCCs are fed by both normal and emergency power. Providing upgraded power systems for Building 102 at the RDC will reduce risks of equipment burn outs, fires, and arc flash incidents.
